Trace the letter O! But first, warm up your kid’s hands by having them draw an octopus. Or an owl, ostrich, orange, onion, otter, ox, olive or anything else that starts with the letter O.

Ask your students to name a few objects that start with the letter O and have each one pick out the one they want to draw. Allow them some time to finish up the drawings and then ask them to move onto the tracing the letter O.
The drawing process will warm up their hands, and make the whole process more fun as well as easier to trace the letters after.
